These short videos are remakes of pieces originally
completed in the 1970s. Like many video pieces from
that period, these works are performative in nature,
but conceived exclusively as works for the camera.
Unfortunately, the original works were produced on reel-to-reel,
half-inch, helical scan video tape. Those tapes were
damaged and no back-ups exist. The remakes capture
the single camera aesthetic of the original versions but with
higher production values (note: the technical quality has been
compromised in the compression process used to render the pieces
web-friendly).
